India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara admitted that New Zealand will have an advantage of having played two Tests in England before the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final but they are not too worried about that aspect.

New Zealand and England faced each other in a two-Test series which the visitors won on Sunday after beating the hosts in the second match at Edgbaston inside 4 days. It’s the first time New Zealand won a Test series in England since 1999 and third triumph overall.

Team India on the other hand, are preparing for the WTC Final by playing intra-squad practice games after coming out of their hotel quarantine in Southampton.

“New Zealand will have that advantage of having played 2 Tests here before the final but when it comes to the final, we will give our best and we know that our team has the potential to do well and win the championship.

“We are not worried about that (NZ advantage), we will try and focus only on these few days that we have for our preparation and we’ll try to make the most of what we have. If we utilise these days well then our team will be up for the final,” Pujara said on
