1,500 students join new intake

The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) will see 1,500 students joining various campuses in July, said Head of the School of Energy and Engineering at the Jefri Bolkiah Campus (JBC) Hajah Siti Hazizah binti Haji Masri

She said that among the 1,500 students, 186 of them will be based in Jefri Bolkiah Campus for their programmes. This includes diploma in control and automation engineering (Hengyi), diploma in refinery operator (Hengyi), HNTec in building services engineering, HNTec in instrumentation and control engineering, HNTec in plant engineering, HNTec in information technology, and HNTec in Computer Networking.

The JBC held their orientation yesterday, where they will settle down in their courses as part of the campus’s commitment in providing the information and education best suited for their students, said Hajah Siti Hazizah.

“In ‘Inspiring Bruneians Towards Excellence’ as our vision and mission, we aim to set a positive, creative, and innovative thinking; among the students and that you are no exception, as we aim to continue to inspire, care, and develop the next generations of leaders and workforce of the nation.”

The day saw a series of briefings by heads of various departments under the campus on administration, faculties, facilities, discipline, and safety at the campus.
